Jasleen Kaur is a Vancouver-based filmmaker and editor whose work examines the fractures and harmonies of identity, family, and migration. She holds a Bachelor of Motion Picture Arts Degree from Capilano University, and is an alumna of the Netflix/Canadian Academy's Women in Post program.
Kaur’s producing and directing credits span documentary and fiction, from the Blumhouse feature PHARMA BRO (Amazon Prime) to the award-winning short PERFECT DAUGHTER (CBC Gem), developed through BIPOC TV & Film’s Reel Work Filmmaking Initiative. As an editor, she has shaped festival and streaming projects including WHO LET THE DOGS OUT (SXSW, Crave) and the Mark Wahlberg–produced series RUN THIS CITY (Roku).
Her upcoming project, THE ASCENT, follows the journey of the first female bi-lateral amputee to crawl to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, where she serves as executive producer and lead editor.
